Driveway...check!

Hello all,

I don’t have much of an update except that we are going in the house on the 31st and will have an opportunity to see the walls up with all of the trim and paint, cabinets, counters, tile, and appliances!  I did break down and buy a new digital camera so I will be snapping lots of pictures on Monday.  Until then you will have to settle for a picture of our freshly poured driveway!  (special thanks to our SM for sending us this picture)

The house is coming along and will look very nice with the black shutters and red door with the fresh green landscaping.  We are less than 30 days away baby, (and the crowd goes) HIP HIP....HIP HIP....

  4. Are you in Clinton? I know that my neighbor one lot away is building a Courtland and we spoke a week ago from a distance, could that be you?

  7. What's wrong with you Courtland folks, do you know how starved we are for fellow Courtlanders to share their ideas and stumbles with us! LOL I am kidding but congratulations on your Courtland it's a nice house with a nice open floor plan. Msmina what are some of the options you got on yours (i.e. elevations, brick, bumpouts, options, colors)?

  8. Carlito- We are building an elevation "C" with a brick/stone combo. I can't remember the exact brick/stone colors (they are the darker options). I might have to post a few pics soon. We got the finished basement & morning room and upgraded to the master suite with the sitting room. We are scheduled to close Dec 2 so we aren't too far behind you!

  9. Congratulations on making so much progress. At least you have a few other Courtland bloggers...as for the Avalon...not another one to be found :(

We loved the Courtland layout too, but wanted to have a full bath on the first floor and don't think that would have been possible without also giving up the study.

Your color choices for the outside look great and I agree with Rosita...that arch over the front door looks fantastic!!!

  10. @Msmina that sounds nice we didnt have a stone brick combo option which sounds awesome. The colors and upgrades sound nice too we got the basement, morning room, and sitting area too. You will be in your house with lots of time to ready yourself for Christmas.

@BD Thank you so much! This has been quite the experience and your right I have not seen another Avalon blog but I will be honest and say that there are some Avalons our there because I see them go up and I also see some that are up for re-sale from years ago. The final colors will look like the house at the very top of our blog but it is coming along. Stay tuned for pictures on Monday.

  11. I paid attention to the Courtland this time, and no that is not you, they are only about a week ahead of us and they definitely do not have a paved driveway yet. Hope to meet up and compare notes one of these days. Less than 30 days, so exciting, have fun shopping

  12. Carlito--that is one grand driveway! I absolutely love it; I'm envisioning the landscaping, and it is going to look absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see the finished product!

There are now 2 more Avalons going up in our development(there are others from Phase 1)...one of them the husband told us we cost him an additional $50K because they were walking around the neighborhood looking at houses and lots and we invited them in to take a look at our Avalon...his wife fell in love with it and then HAD to have it...LOL!!!
